Apple Cider Braised Pork Chops
Tender pork chops slow-cooked in apple cider with onions, carrots, and herbs for a flavorful braise.
Ingredients Preparation
- 2 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 carrot (sliced)
- Fresh thyme or other herbs
- Olive oil (for searing)
Production Steps
- Step 1. Heat oil in a pot and sear pork chops until golden brown.Leave the protein undisturbed for 1-2 minutes before flipping to build color.
- Step 2. Cook onion and carrot in the same pot until softened.
- Step 3. Add apple cider and herbs. Return pork chops to the pot.
- Step 4. Simmer for 1 hour until pork is tender.Keep heat on low and stir occasionally so the sauce doesn’t stick to the pot.
