Roasted Christmas Turkey
Classic juicy roasted Christmas turkey with garlic butter and herbs.
Ingredients Preparation
- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lb)
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary
- 2 tbsp thyme
- Salt & pepper
- 1 lemon, halved
Production Steps
- Step 1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and use the center rack for even heat.
- Step 2. Mix softened butter with garlic and herbs.Scrape down the sides of the bowl once or twice to incorporate everything evenly.
- Step 3. Pat turkey dry and rub butter mixture all over.Scrape down the sides of the bowl once or twice to incorporate everything evenly.
- Step 4. Stuff cavity with lemon halves.
- Step 5. Roast 3 hours, basting every 45 minutes.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and use the center rack for even heat.
